ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIESSPDG Tech is fully conversant with the very latest EU environmental legislation and actively searches for ways to enable manufacturers to comply with the growing level of issues concerning the construction, packaging, automotive and electrical goods industries, as well as technologies concerned with natural energy and water. The Coach House Group (UK) Ltd. has, in the past, maintained a Visiting Fellow at the Centre of International Studies of the University of Cambridge. The Fellow was tasked with conducting research into EU Environmental Policies and Regulations. Much of the focus of this research was on the impact of forthcoming environmental legislation on certain industries with particular regard to the automobile and electronics industries. This led to the organisation, from 2001, of a series of seminars on environmental policy jointly hosted by the Fellow and the University of Cambridge. The seminars were aimed at bringing together environmental experts from different disciplines, ranging from policy and politics, economics, ethics, management, and international law. Special interest was also taken in the relationships between regulators, business executives and stakeholder groups. This was followed, from 2003, by the organisation of a series of sustainable conferences by the staff (as Coach House Group) and the University of Cambridge. find out more It has also submitted several papers to national and international conferences on EU Environmental Policy. After Cambridge, the "Fellow" was seconded to Brussels to work with the European Environment Bureau on Waste Policies and Directives. This research formed the basis of a very successful Conference, organized by the staff of CHG(UK)Ltd, and held at Jesus College Cambridge in the Spring of 2005 find out more More recently the research network has been extended to include other academic institutions. The staff of SPDG Technologies Plc, most of whom were previously employed by CHG(UK) Ltd, will continue to forge the links and attract the interest of those businesses, institutions and other entities involved in the design and implementation of future EU legislation, environmental protocols and treaties world wide. |
