NewsNew Director joins the Board of SPDG Technologies Plc24 February 2006 SPDG Technologies Plc welcomes to its Board, as a Non-Executive Director, Mr Jonathan Hill, Chief Executive Officer of General Capital Group Plc. The Company is pleased to announce that on 26 January 2006 it drew down £250,000 from the working capital facilities referred to in the Admission Announcement. The facilities were provided by General Capital Venture Finance Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Capital Group Plc ("General Capital"). Mr Jonathan Hill joined the Board of SPDG as a non-executive director on 19 January 2006. Jonathan Hill is a banker and the Chief Executive Officer of General Capital. His early career was spent with Barclays and The Royal Bank of Scotland Group. Since 2000 he has specialised in structuring and, through General Capital, providing mezzanine, convertible and other forms of secondary debt. He has wide experience of advising on financial re-construction for both private and publicly traded companies and is a non-executive director on AIM quoted Earthport Plc. Jonathan Hill commented, "We are very pleased to be involved with SPDG as it develops its worldwide businesses. The core business offering and strength of board experience, position it well to take advantage of the numerous renewable agricultural and recycling opportunities available. The admission of the company's shares to trading on Ofex last November was a key milestone in its overall strategy and I look forward to working with the board in this exciting environment". He went on to note, "we work closely with a number of businesses in the renewable and recycling sector and there may well be opportunities for advantageous collaborative trading agreements".
